Mold Technician 2
**In order to apply, you must have previous Mold Technician, Injection Molding experience **
General Summary:
Mold & Tooling setup, Process Set up, Maintaining , Troubleshooting and repair of molds, tools, presses & other equipment.
Responsibilities:
Actions to drive Environmental Health and Safety ownership, work in a safe and efficient manner with every task. Safety practices and awareness
Support cross functional team efforts (quality, process, supervision). Work as a team with other technicians, maintenance, supervisors, or any other personnel and or outside contractors and vendors.
Train mold technicians and Team Leaders
Work with process engineers to maximize machine and mold capabilities
Engineering and supervisor assistance
Hands on machining and welding as needed
Tuning of prototype and production tools as needed
Perform tool setup and adjustment in assigned area
Complete tear down, disassembly, repair and reassembly of all injection molds for pm’s, repair, inspection, etc.
Must be able to set up and process all service molds, etc. to produce quality parts
Must be able to perform all mold changes as well as set up new and prototype molds including processing to produce quality parts.
Take technical direction from process engineers
Continuous improvement of process and tools. Including cost savings & scrap reduction.
Compliance with Documentation & Systems – TS16949, ISO14001, Q1, OSHA, Work instructions…
Support Q1/Process improvement effort for site
Work with maintenance on tooling and other related issues
Perform PM, troubleshooting and repair of tooling in assigned area including cleaning
General Understanding of Basic Robot functions
All other duties as assigned
Specific Measurements of Performance:
Relative to your position, I would like you to focus on the following specific actions with key measurements driving continuous improvement efforts (scrap, uptime, process capability, ppm, productivity)…
Specific Measurements:
Drive EH&S awareness to achieve: zero LTA’s, zero OSHA’s and a 50% reduction in incident rate
Drive efforts for plant to obtain/maintain Q1 certification, TS16949 certification, and ISO 14000 certification
Assist in scrap reduction through cross-functional teams by 50%
Support minimum PM attainment of 85%
Reduce tooling setup time and tooling related downtime
Qualifications: Education:
Technical training or equivalent experience
Experience: 5+ years in molding operations, basic machining
Pay Rate:
Starting Pay Rate is $ 19.82
After 6 months, increases to $ 21.27
